We had an incredibly busy weekend immersed in the world of Open Source, attending both the EU Open Source Policy Summit and FOSDEM in Brussels! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, learn about the latest developments, and share our own work.
The weekend kicked off with the EU Open Source Policy Summit, a platform for the new EU administration to engage in meaningful discussions with the European Open Source community. This summit is important for shaping the future of Open Source in Europe, and we were thrilled to be a part of the conversation. You can find more information about the summit here.

The day didn’t end with the talks! We also enjoyed the LibreOffice Community Dinner at ICAB Incubator, a fantastic opportunity to network and connect with fellow community members. We also joined with XWiki, Nextcloud & OpenProject for drinks and networking, and the at Open Source Founders Summit Happy Hour – a gathering specifically for Open Source Founders.
On Sunday, Michael participated in a round table discussion in the Government Collaboration room. The focus was on “5 Top reasons why Governments should work together with Open Source Vendors and 5 ways on how to do it!” This was an insightful discussion, exploring how governments can effectively leverage the benefits of Open Source.
Overall, it was an inspiring and action-packed weekend. We’re excited to continue contributing to the Open Source community and look forward to future events!
