Torri di Quartesolo, Italy and Cambridge, United Kingdom – February 14, 2017 – Collabora Productivity, the driving force behind putting LibreOffice in the Cloud, and Studio Storti, the leading provider of Open Source solutions for the Government and Public Administration sector in Italy, announce the first implementation of Collabora Online in Italy.
Collabora and Studio Storti have a long partnership history, and recently a new agreement was signed, adding Collabora Online to the product offering of Studio Storti. Being on top of the needs of enterprises and the Public Sector in Italy, adding stable and supported LibreOffice in the Cloud was the next logical step.
Shortly after, Collabora and Studio Storti worked closely together successfully implementing a fully fledged Collabora Online solution for an Italian customer. With Collabora Online this customer can now access documents from any location, author new content, and increase productivity with collaborative editing features.
“We are excited about the first Collabora Online deployment in Italy” said Michael Meeks, General Manager at Collabora Productivity. “Studio Storti has a proven track record of successful open source implementations and we are looking forward to work together on our next Italian Collabora Online customers.”
“The amount of work Collabora has put in to bringing LibreOffice to the Cloud is impressive” said Paolo Storti, CEO at Studio Storti. “The quick responses of Collabora to meet customer requirements made the first deployment a great success, and this makes Collabora unique.”
Collabora Online brings the advantages of the ISO standard Open Document Format (ODF) to the cloud, to provide seamless interoperability with a large number of productivity software.
